Rice Punch. I should also note that lots of Korean drinks have crap floating in them. Sunghee will not buy orange juice with pulp in it, but will down these pear “drinks” that you don’t so much drink as chew.

Grass Jelly. Now with banana flavor.

Yogloo, drinkable yogurt, now with Melon flavor. Honeydew melon is a very popular flavor for just about anything. Sort of like strawberry is here. Melon ice cream is very abundant.

Koala’s March. These are very good cookie things. There’s a vanilla cookie shell and the inside is a lot of fudge. I think Koala March would be a good name for a emo band.

Do you like the cracker and the chocolate of Pocky, but don’t really go for Pocky that much because it just seems wrong that the chocolate is on the outside? Well this is for you, Reverse Pocky! Now with the chocolate on the *inside*!

We attended Chusok, Korean Thanksgiving, again this year at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Unfortunatly Ivan brought the rain and didn’t let us have much fun. They shut down the performances on the stage about 15 minutes after we arrived, which was late due to crappy MapQuest directions. (“Turn on to 95″ “North or South?” “um, it just says 95″. “I don’t see any sign to 495″ “Well it looks like 1st Ave. joins up with it after a couple of blocks, go on 1st Ave., ok this should be 495, follow it for 6 miles and look for 108th and take a left” six miles later “Ok, here’s 100th, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, wait! it’s one-way, I can’t turn left. I’ll have to take 109. These other Aves. don’t match what’s on the map.” “That map is for Queens, we’re still in Manhatten”.)
